The Sunday after Easter

I was in church It was the Sunday after Easter The day when Jesus appeared in the closed room. During the sermon, When the priest was talking about the appearance, My thoughts wandered...  To the closed room that my heart was He knocked I wanted to open the door But I was afraid Yet, he entered. How did he get in? How did he get the keys? Then I smiled. The door to the heart is not opened by a key.

( Beginning He asked me, I said no.   He asked me, I said no again. He asked me, I didn't say no; He asked me, I said yes. I stopped him, he said no; I stopped him, he said no again. I stopped him, he didn't say no; I stopped him, he changed me forever! )
This Time, this Space - Just for me; This Time, this Space - Best for me!

A Sufi Poem

O Mirror!  I am so jealous of you; How many times you have seen my Beloved in all her beauty!

I asked the mountains

I asked the mountains They did not answer; I asked the seas They did not answer; I asked the winds They did not answer; I asked the trees They did not answer; I asked the moon She did not answer; I asked the sun He did not answer; Then I realized That the answer to some questions Is silence.
Oil rigs   Christmas trees   Of the ocean
Even when dying  The autumn leaves  Enjoy the fall
The conservative evergreens  Held on to their leaves  While the maverick deciduous trees  Shed their leaves and enjoyed the cool breeze in their branches!

I am my son, I am my daughter, I am my kith, kin and wife too. I am my way, I am my aim, I am my body, soul and intellect. I am my beginning, I am my end, And I am the journey in between. )

A One-night Stand?

She caught my eye  While having a quick bite  After a long and tiring day at work  Soon after I joined her in bed  Into her open arms  In the dreams she showed me  She took me to places that I had never been  The next morning I woke up  She was nowhere to be seen  But then I smiled to myself:  No matter how long and tiring my day will be  O Sleep, I will see you again at night

The Village Boy

I sat next to a village boy In the flight today He was short and a little plump I was tall and lean He wore baggies and t-shirt I wore suit and tie He was going home to mom's I, to apartment He had dreams I had goals He had love I had work He was sleeping peacefully While I thought these things
I took them on a ride today  The autumn leaves  On my windshield
Through the holes in my umbrella  I see the clouds  Through the holes in the clouds  I see the stars

What did the blind man see?

What did the blind man see  When he reached the top of mount Everest?  He did not see the frozen ground;  He did not see the snow around;  He did not see the clouds above;  Then, what did the blind man see?  He saw Nothing.

Faster Than Light

I brushed my teeth  In five minutes  And traveled the entire world

A big drama

After a play  The actors disperse;  And sometimes there are tears.  After life  The actors unite  And always there is joy!
New Year The last day of the year Passes by silently Without a tear Without a cheer

The hidden world

At the gate, All heads turned towards the TV monitors Watching a football game   Except for me   Not interested in sports   Reading my book   Listening to the background Christmas music   Like a blind man among a crowd of people   Which made me think   What do the blind see?   And the deaf hear?   What do the mute sing?

Oneness

Way back in school   My teacher said   "Everyday, meditate in front of a lamp   Till when you close your eyes   You can see the flame"   For a long time  I confused the phenomenon   With Imagination and Skill   But today I realized   That she was talking about Oneness!

The Greeting Card

I don't know what it weathered   I don't know when it came   But the wishes inside were still warm!
