The Wait
[Not quite a poem but still poetic, i suppose :-]
The last hour is longer than the last day;
The last minute is the longer than the last hour;
The last moment is the longest -
For it lasts forever!
My companion
A sad little song was my companion today. She danced on my lips and played a soft tune She mused in my heart and comforted my soul Because she was with me, my journey was not lonely. She held my hands when walking the path That disappeared into the fog A path that seemed to lead nowhere The warmth of her palms in my hands Compensated for the chill around - A bit I wished it was a different journey With a lot of people Towards a glorious destination. But for now, It is just me And her - My sad little song.
